Blake has a strong decade-long career in the aviation industry, serving as a contractor for major firms like Textron Aviation, Rockwell Collins, and Dassault Systèmes. Since 2019, he has also worked as a Design and Analysis Engineering contractor for Boeing Defense, Space, and Security.
Blake is a committed advocate for the armed forces and military families, balancing his duties as an elected member of the Kansas House of Representatives with service in the Kansas Air National Guard. He was initially commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on September 3, 2021, and was promoted to First Lieutenant in the fall of 2023. His dual roles underscore his dedication to both state and military service.
Blake holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship from Wichita State University.
Raised in Halstead, Kansas, Blake’s formative years as an Eagle Scout and meeting his future wife, Tyleigha, in high school have shaped his community-driven values. Blake and Tyleigha have been blessed with a growing family, welcoming their first child in 2020 and their second child in 2023.
